Komunikasi Risiko dan Kapasitas Cyber Masyarakat dalam Mitigasi Gempa Merapi Yogyakarta
Abstract
Earthquakes in the Mount Merapi region of Yogyakarta are natural phenomena that pose a threat to people living in the surrounding area. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between risk communication as the independent variable (X) and community cyber capacity as the dependent variable (Y). The focus of this study is on preparedness knowledge in disaster mitigation. A positivist paradigm was used in this study, and quantitative methods were employed to collect data from 258 survey respondents. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that risk communication enhances the community’s cyber capacity to understand how to manage the Mount Merapi earthquake disaster, particularly in Kinahrejo Hamlet, Umbulharjo Village, Cangkringan Subdistrict, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
