Hubungan Pola Asuh Orang Tua dengan Kejadian Tempre Tantrum Pada Anak Prasekolah Usia 3-5 Tahun di Paud Cendrawasi Kabupaten Karawang

Abstrak

Child development is strongly influenced by parenting styles, including authoritarian, permissive, and democratic approaches, particularly during the preschool period when children often express discomfort through temper tantrums. This quantitative cross-sectional study aimed to examine the relationship between parenting styles and temper tantrum behavior in preschool children. Data were collected using questionnaires from 60 mothers with children aged 3–4 years at PAUD Cendrawasi, Karawang Regency. The results showed that most parents applied democratic parenting (38.3%), followed by authoritarian (31.7%) and permissive (30.0%), while temper tantrum levels were low (30.0%), moderate (40.0%), and high (30.0%). The study concludes that democratic parenting tends to be the dominant factor in reducing temper tantrums among preschool children.
